What is SCV?
Some CMCA Parks require vehicles staying to be self-contained. This ensures that travellers can camp responsibly and leave no trace on the environment.
What is a Self Contained Vehicle?
To comply with CMCA’s Self Contained Vehicle (SCV) Policy, your vehicle must have the following:
- Fresh water storage tanks
- A fixed, plumbed in sink
- A grey wastewater tank or portable tote with a shut-off valve
- An installed toilet or portable toilet with a cassette
- A sealable container for rubbish
Note: External tents for showers or toilets are not permitted.
These requirements help ensure that travellers can manage their waste responsibly and reduce their impact on the environment.
Why It Matters
Self-contained vehicles support low-cost and freedom camping options by reducing reliance on external infrastructure. This policy helps CMCA maintain clean, sustainable RV parks and camping areas for all members.
