About this Park
This park will be closed from 27 July to 1 August 2026 as we cannot secure a park custodian during those dates.
Welcome to CMCA RV Park Charleville, also known as Charleville Bush Camp – your ideal outback escape for fully self-contained RVs. Just 2km from the Charleville town centre, this spacious campground spans nearly 10 hectares of open bushland, offering a tranquil setting with your choice of shaded or open sites. This park is open seasonally from 1 April - 31 October each year.
Enjoy the essentials of bush camping with access to:

- Dump point
- Campfire area
- Happy hour shelter for socialising and relaxing
Bookings are cashless, so please have your credit or debit card ready for easy reservations online, by phone, or at the park.
We welcome pets—just keep them on a lead when outside your vehicle. Please note:
- A 14-night stay limit in any 21 days applies. The maximum stay applies collectively to all persons travelling or staying together. Separate or consecutive bookings made under different names do not reset or extend the maximum stay period.
- All vehicles must be self-contained
- Vehicles must not be left unattended overnight

Park rules
- Same-day bookings close at 6:00 PM AEST
- Maximum stay of 14 nights within any 21-day period
- Park guests must familiarise themselves with Park Specific rules and comply with Custodian directives
- Temporary camping only - limits apply, check with custodian
- Vehicles must comply with the CMCA Self-Contained Vehicle Policy. All guests must sleep within the self-contained vehicle. Rooftop tents are not to be slept in. Swags and tents are not permitted outside the vehicle.
- No grey water to be discharged to the ground - must use onboard tank or portable tote with watertight seal and shut off valve from the RV. A bucket is not acceptable to collect and carry wastewater to the dump point.
- No permanent connection to taps for fresh water
- Generators to be run only between 8:00am and 7:00pm for no longer than 4 hours in a day and 2 hours at a time, and only to run when someone is present at the RV. Please be aware of your neighbours when using generators.
- Batteries are not to be charged by running RV engine unless in an emergency situation and with prior approval from Custodian.
- Dogs on leads always with leads no longer than 2m, and owners are responsible for cleaning up after their dog. Restrained pets may be permitted at communal happy hours if you ask and ALL those present agree with the animal being present. No animal can be tethered to a moving vehicle. A maximum of two pets allowed per site.
- Parking - a minimum 3 metre space is to be left between RVs and all vehicles should be parked to allow easy emergency exit from the park (generally rear to boundary)
- Rubbish must be disposed of in the bins provided or taken with you if not provided
- No campfires are permitted - unless the park has a designated fire pit, which is under the control of the Custodian
- Make yourself aware of site emergency procedures, and these will be displayed at the happy hour shelter
- No smoking or vaping is permitted unless in guest’s own vehicle, and this is not to impact other guests
- Please do not wash your vehicles within the park unless a dedicated wash bay is provided
- Bikes, scooters, golf carts, mobility scooters and the like (powered and unpowered) are to adhere to the 10km speed limit of the park, wear appropriate protective equipment such as a helmet at all times, and only be used when legally allowed.
- Abusive, disruptive, and unruly behaviour will NOT be tolerated and can result in your removal from the park. Please be aware of noise and do not disturb other guests.
Park closures
- Closed for wet season - 25 October to 31 March
Cancellation and Refund Policy
- Cancel more than 48 hours before noon on your check-in day and receive a full refund to your original payment method or a Park Funds credit.
- Cancellations made within 48 hours of noon on your check-in day, and no-shows, are not eligible for a refund.
- No refunds apply for early departures or shortened stays after check-in.

Self-Contained RV Site 09/14/2026Just spent two nights at this great camp site. Plenty of room to spread out with a mix of shady or sunny sites to choose from. Custodians very friendly and welcoming. Happy hour was great with everyone enjoying a few laughs around the fire. Perfect location for star gazing, also not too far out of town. Thanks for your hospitality Alana and Hugo.Richard Money

Self-Contained RV Site 09/14/2026Terrific Custodians who met us with smiles and helpfull suggestions. The grounds themselves were very dry and dusty but that is just the location. Speaking of location, very close and convenient to Charleville township. Weren't many burrs or prickles to be seen but our dogs sure found them.STEVEN CONAGHAN

Self-Contained RV Site 09/13/2026Fantastic camp. Great position to town. All the services we require when off grid camping. Alana and Hugo were terrific custodians. They ran a tight ship which was great as we all know the rules. They were informative, helpful and very friendly. Happy hour each night was fantastic. It is volunteers like Alana and Hugo that make these RV parks work so well. The CMCA are very fortunate to have volunteers like these guys as custodians. I hope the CMCA value them. Self-Contained RV Site 09/08/2026Room for an army! Occasional vehicle passes by on the Adavale Road during the day, otherwise quiet as. Hosts were friendly and entertaining. Dump point clean. Water good. A few 'roos knocking about. All for $5 p/n for members. Very close to town, with enough to see and do there for a few days. If you need a tyre place, i recommend Tyrepower near the station/ info centre, (others are available)! They fitted me in first thing on a Monday morning, to get me underway again.Clive Rigley

Self-Contained RV Site 08/17/2026A bit of dust bowl at the moment. Not much grass and plenty of dried up wheel tracks where people have driven after the rain. A few bindis around, especially in the W section of the park nearest the Adavale Rd. I think a little more gravel spread around to ensure better access during the wet periods is needed. Dump point and water tap good. Camp custodian, Dennis, excellent and friendly. Fire pit good. Perhaps a few more portable grey water tanks assist campers dispose of their grey water would be appreciated.Ian Drury
