Very nice, quiet grass site within easy walking distance of all the amenities of Penola. The custodian Lorette was very helpful and informative whilst introducing us to the site and surrounding area and was on hand for any further questions, very close to Coonawarra wineries and in the middle of the Limestone Coast

Central location within Penola and a great base for the Coonawarra region. Site is pretty basic, small camp covered area & communal fire pit. Potable water and grey water dump point also at the location. Black water dump point located on the other side of the recreation area. No accessible toilets adjacent to the location that we could identify, but there are works underway at the recreation main building that may include accessible toilets. Public toilets not that far away in the main town centre.
